The load capacities can be an input or an output. If they are given by the user they will not be changed because of surface hardness of the material. The surface hardness is only considered if the values are calculated by the software.
The load capacity will be calculated using the free contact angle α0, not the nominal contact angle α. This mainly makes a difference for nominal contact angle of zero in case of a full radius in races.
