Several options are available in the optimization:
•An input parameter can be maximized or minimized based on conditions
•A result parameter can be maximized or minimized. Here several input parameters can be defined. The target to minimize or maximize is the sum of the results multiplied with a factor.
•The deviation of a result parameter from a target is minimized. The target function of the optimization is the sum of the squares of the deviation multiplied with a factor.
Conditions are required for the first two options, where an input is maximized or minimized. In the options regarding result values the conditions are optional.
The factor for the optimization target can be used to scale the results. The internal tolerance for convergence is set to 10-4.
The tolerance for the input values should be related to the required accuracy of the input values.
