The reference profile of the gear can be defined by three options. Either using a reference profile a hob or a shaper cutter. The hob is not supported for internal gears.
If a hob or a shaper cutter is selected, both the dedendum of the tool hfP0 and the addendum of the reference profile can be defined, if its not a topping tool. The dedendum of the tool needs to be larger than the addendum of the basic rack, else the tool would cut the tip diameter. A warning is shown if this is not the case, but the tip diameter is still calculated by the basic rack addendum. Please select a topping tool in this case.
